The Lynnfield Public Library will be vibrant and financially secure for
generations to come.
OUR MISSION
The Lynnfield Public Library Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization that
secures a long-term endowment from legacy, planned giving, and grants to
support the Lynnfield Public Library's innovative vision, mission and values.
Through the generosity and shared passion of residents, patrons, and the
business community the LPLF will provide services not covered by town
taxes, the town budget or the Friends of the Lynnfield Library.
What is 250 for 250?
In honor of the 250th anniversary of our country, the Lynnfield Public Library
Foundation is launching 250 for 250 a year-long campaign to raise significant
funds that will enhance the user experience, add value to the library for
patrons and continue to build an endowment to sustain and
support library needs.
We’d like to give the Children’s Room a makeover, plus add some charging
stations for cell phones and outside lockers for after-hours pickup of
materials. We’d also like to underwrite projects that could deliver drinking
water and more comfortable seating. As an example, we have already
contributed IPad stations that give patrons the chance to research resources
throughout the building.
We have no shortage of ideas, just funds!
Our public campaign will last until July 4, 2026, when our nation will
commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of
Independence. It is our hope that 250 residents will donate at least $250 to
join “The 250 Club” and help us reach our fundraising goal of $65,000.
A Giving Tree will be prominently displayed in the library during the year
adorned with leaves containing the names of donors who give $250 and
above. Each level will have a different leaf color.
